BS2013 starts this Sunday afternoon with the registration (3 pm to 6 pm) and welcome party (6 pm to 9 pm). The registration and welcome party will be held in the town of Aix-les-Bains in the Centre des Congrès (Congress Centre) and in the adjoining park. The Centre des Congrès is situated on rue Jean Monard, which is indicated by the green star on the following map
BS2013 will be held in three separate locations in the Savoie region:
Shuttle buses have been arranged to provide transportation for the conference participants between these sites as detailed below.
Transportation to technical sessions
BS2013 will be held in three separate locations in the Savoie region:
1. The town of Aix-les-Bains. Most conference participants are staying at hotels in Aix-les-Bains. The registration and welcome party will be held Sunday in Aix-les-Bains (as indicated above) as will be the gala dinner on Tuesday evening.
2. The Savoie Technolac Campus at Bourget du Lac (situated 10 km south of Aix-les-Bains). All scientific sessions will be held at Savoie Technolac (Monday through Wednesday). The visit of the INES demonstrative building (Wednesday) also takes place here. A map of the campus is available here
3. The town of Chambéry (situated 10 km south of Savoie Technolac).The reception on Monday evening will be held in Chambéry. As well, some conference participants are staying at hotels in Chambéry.
Shuttle buses have been arranged to provide transportation for the conference participants between these sites as detailed below.
Transportation to technical sessions
Each morning shuttle buses will transport participants from Aix-les-Bains to Savoie Technolac. These shuttle buses will depart from the designated stops in Aix-les-Bains sharply at 8 AM on Monday the 25th, Tuesday the 26th, and Wednesday the 27th. These buses will be indicated with « IBPSA-BS2013 » signs and will depart from the following 6 locations, each of which is indicated on the map provided at the beginning of this letter:
• Hotel « Campanille » (bus stop 1 on map)
• Hotel « le Manoir » (bus stop 2 on map)
• Grand Port (bus stop 3 on map)
• Cinéma (movie theatre) « les Toiles du Lac » (bus stop 4 on map)
• Tourist information centre « Thermes Nationaux » (bus stop 5 on map)
• Train station « Gare SNCF » (bus stop 6 on map)
If you miss the shuttle bus departures at 8 AM you will have to take a taxi or use public transportation to travel to Savoie Technolac. Ondea (www.ondea-bus.fr) operates public buses between Aix-les-Bains and Savoie Technolac (take line 1 or line 20 and get off the bus at stop «Université de Bourget» or «INES»).
Attendees staying at Chambéry will have to use public transportation to travel to Savoie Technolac. Take line 2 (www.bus-stac.fr) and get off the bus at stop «Université de Bourget».

Following the last scientific sessions, shuttle buses will be provided to transport participants from Savoie Technolac to Chambéry for Monday evening's reception.
The shuttle buses will return participants to Aix-les-Bains at the end of the reception. (A shuttle bus will be available to return participants from Savoie Technolac directly to Aix-les-Bains for those who choose not to participate in Monday evening's reception in Chambéry.)

Following the last scientific sessions, shuttle buses will be provided to transport participants from Savoie Technolac to Aix-les-Bains for the gala dinner at the Casino le Grand Cercle (see red star on Aix-les- Bains map provided at the beginning of this letter).
Following the dinner, shuttle buses will be available to transport the participants who are staying at hotels in Chambéry, as well as in Grand Port and in Campanille in Aix-les-Bains.
